I’ve been searching the interwebs lately for some good lighting options for future projects. While I usually gravitate towards vintage finds and classic shapes (like Mouille) I’ve been quite smitten with wood fixtures and industrial fixtures. Both are worlds apart, I know, but somehow could work in a home together. It’s all about mixing different elements and styles to create interest. Here are a few fixtures that have caught my eye. I would love to use these in some upcoming designs.
This fun little piece would be cute in a kids’ room, no? It’s modern without being to serious. Exactly what I love about it.
This one is a cool mix of a classic style remixed with wood. I would put this in a master bedroom as an alternate to a side table lamp– a little something unexpected to elevate the style of the room.
How stunning is this wooden pendant piece? It could work in a number of different spaces but would look fantastic in an entry. I would say it’s drama if you’re not into the crystal type of bling. Maybe group a couple of them together… now that would make for a jaw dropper.
Could you imagine the beautiful shadows this would throw around the room? I would use this in a bathroom. Again, I love the unexpectedness of it– especially because it’s wood. Mixing it with the elements found in a bath like marble tiles and chrome fixtures would be amazing.
I mean, how cool is this!? Its definitely not for the shy. It’s a conversation starter for sure. I would pair it with some more traditional pieces like a Louis chair and maybe a vintage rug.
I would love to see this in a bar or a lounge. Something about this screams come sit and have a drink. Put a few loungy sofas and some pillows and you’ve got a cool space.
This one speaks to my love of vintage romantic lighting. Pretty with the crystals.
There you have my round up of my favorite lighting as of late. Which would you go for?
