I’m sorry for the radio silence but it’s been a very busy couple of weeks. I’m so excited to have some new projects on the horizon- one of which is by the beach. YAY! Hoping I can share some of that schtuff with you.
Back to this blogging thing. If you are like me, a lover of all things vintage, this wonderful site isn’t new to you. I’m sure by now, you all have heard of Chairish. Their sweet tag line says it all- Where Design Lovers Buy and Sell. And that’s Chairish in a nutshell. It boasts a plethora of great vintage furniture and other amazing finds. Trust me- I have found plenty… see exhibit A- pretty little ottoman.
I’ve had this little guy on my radar for some time. I do love him so.
So when I get excited about something, I feel the need to create- and create I did. I mixed a little vintage this with a little modern that and I came up with a mood board. It was easy because I found great pieces that spoke to my heart. I started with a fabulous rug from Chairish and bam…
This happened….
The colors in the rug are glorious.
Here is a little close up without the big ol’ bed plopped on top.
Look at those blues and maroon and hints of pink! Stunning if I do say so.
Since the rug is so amazing, I wanted the rest of the space to be colorful but muted so I mixed in black and white and gold. Gold- of course. I think it lends itself well to both male and female sensibility and it would be a happy medium for most couples looking to have that masculine/feminine balance. It feels cheerful and sophisticated but not too stuffy- never stuffy!
Here are the links if you love the pieces I’ve incorporated into the style board.
Other items such as the chair and end tables are from Black Rooster.
So there you have it Buttercups. If you haven’t check out the wonderful world of Chairish- go do it now! If you have some items to sell, Chairish is the place to go online. Afterall, as they put it, “Buying and selling vintage furniture is easy peasy.” (I love easy and peasy).
Enjoy the warm weather- Spring is coming.
