It’s week 6. I’ve made it. Actually thanks to having to do the photo shoot on Monday, I came in before deadline- which if you know me, has NEVER happened. I am a procrastinator at heart. Remember last One Room Challenge and my husband up at 6am the morning of the reveal to hang the chandelier for me? Yea… that was me- not this- I’m finished 3 days early biznass.
I do have a confession of sorts though. While the space is finished for the most part, some accessories are styled– in other words, I had to improvise and bring in some of my own stuff. I just wasn’t finding the right pieces needed to complete the space (believe me I was searching everywhere last week). I am also trying to avoid being wasteful and purchasing things that were not 100% right for the space. So while it’s mostly complete, some things still need to be purchased but not a lot. I promise!
Before I get down to the reveal, I would like to thank a few people. First, Linda from Calling It Home for putting together this challenge and bringing together the blogging/design community. Because of it, I’ve made a lot of friends and have seen so many talented people work their magic. It’s truly a great time to be a blogger/designer.
Also on the thank you list is my friend Micheline who let me invade her space and text and call and come by and basically harass for 6 weeks and her husband of course, for the schlepping and painting and all that jazz that comes a long with being a handy hubbie (they are the best kind of husband to have in my book!) It was a collaborative effort and an experience for sure! I would also like to thank Christine Valenti for the beautiful photos that make the space come alive. She got them to me so quick and I thank her for saving my sanity! And a huge thank you goes out to the fabulous Jennifer Withus (who specializes in children and family photography) for helping me edit out all of the pesky glare (which was pissing me off for lack of a better term). So there you have it, my team of sorts.
