Week 2 of the One Room Challenge is here. I had a visit today with my friend and things are going really well I am super happy to report! We nailed down a few more details such as… wait for it… Mary Eaton print! It’s happening and I couldn’t be happier.
So let me just remind you of her gorgeousness.
The space is really coming a long. This little guy came in today- right before our meeting.
Wooo hooo. Zebra cowhide. I do love him so.
The new shades, which my friend picked out, also came in. I think they’ll give the space another pretty but subtle pattern. Install will probably happen this weekend thanks to her handy hubbie.
The walls are painted as are the chairs (from black to white- minor design change).
And light fixture is is in.
Still left to nail down is the sideboard which went from something like zees…
to something a little more modern in feel
I do love me a little Danish Modern furniture and with 9 drawers, you can’t go wrong! So I popped that sucker into the mood board and I nearly had a minor heart attack. I LOVE it so. Fingers crossed we can make it ours hers.
We still have some sourcing to do as far as accessories and a chair- yes that pretty little sweetie is out. She is too small for the space. Boo hoo hoo.
But here is a contender we are playing around with….
A little sexy and loungy.
We may have to forgo the lamps as well. The scale would be terribly off (if I’m thinking they are as small as they are). I don’t want to get yelled at by my design school professor after all. Scale is everything and something in the wrong scale can kill a space. Dead dead deadski. No bueno, as they say.
So even with the minor snafus, I’m excited for it to come together. The other side of the room, the kitchen, is getting a little zhushed too. Oh and did I mention we are finishing up the living room?! Lots of fun Buttercups. Did I tell you I love my job!?
Make sure you check the progress of the other linking participants here. So much hard work and fabulousness going down!
