It’s getting close to the finish line and while I’m pleased to say we are almost there, we are not almost there- sort of. Yesterday both my client/collaborator and I rushed around in hopes of finding the perfect accessories for the dining room. Eh, we got some, not as much as we had hoped for. In the meantime, art is in and let me just say, I love the framer. He got the job rushed through and it turned out better than I could have dreamed of. It really is a stunner and once that biznass gets hung, it’s going to make the room sing.
Here is a little peeksky…
Oh hey there terrible glare… ugh
But she sure is magnificent and large.
As you can see the Mid Century sideboard/dresser was purchased and schlepped home. It’s looking oh so fine.
On to rugs…which had been purchased, shipped and received only to sit and wait until the tiling on the other side of the room was done. It was so sad to see them each week all rolled up.
But now the rugs are down and layered and looking fab.
Here’s that shot…
I love this so very much!
On to DIY (that’s Do It Yourself- for the non-crazy people who don’t enjoy this sort of stress- I mean fun).
So if you’re following on Instagram you saw all of my DIY action. This week, Long Island was unusually warm – spray painting weather – and I was happy to have it. I was able to get this done…
Not sure how, but a little gold paint made the table look like it had lost some of its weight. Now I am seriously considering spraying myself gold in hopes it would have the same effect. Nah- just kidding. I like my bootay.
Next DIY…
Since the budget is almost doneski, there was a little fabric painting action last night.
(Side note- even at designer cost, the fabric we wanted to go with is too expensive-albeit amazing and gorgeous-oh well- I think I achieved the look for less as it were.)
So there you have it Buttercups, my very busy week. Photo shoot Monday! Yes- I shortened my deadline–it was the only day it could be done–Fingers and toes crossed.
Check out the other linkers here – killing it for sure!

Send some of that gold my way, wouldya?! My booty could use a little downsizing. Picture and sideboard are the everything! See ya on the flip, where we will have a virtual cheers. Or in my case, a guzzlewhump of vino.

We might have been separated at birth! I ordered 2 pillows out of that same fabric and dang if I was at all "Diyish" I could have done what you did! Clever gal:)
