Week 4!? How can that be!? (Man, I wish I had started my diet 4 weeks ago, I’d be half way to my goal weight for sure! Oh well)
We have made a ton of progress this week with the tile and as I write this (tonight, Wednesday night for tomorrow’s post) my husband is chuffing away furiously trying to get the all the tiles on the wall at least, so I can do the rest of the grouting Friday. This week I learned how to use the tile cutter (and I still have all my fingers) and how to grout. Tiling I thought was rough, but grouting is totally not my favorite thing to do. First, because the grout is harsher on the hands. Then, having to bend in crazy ways for a few minutes over the countertops and getting all the grout to go in the crevices. Back breaking. I managed to only get the backsplash done but am determined to finish grouting either Friday or over the weekend for sure. It does look pretty though. I’m glad I didn’t go with black grout or white. Instead, I got some advice from a few of my design pals and went with a super pale grey and the result is well… take a look.
Oh and don’t worry, that blue window trim will be white again, thanks to my IG followers for voting and helping me finalize my decision.
We also got the (super pain in the butt) pot filler in but man alive does she look ridiculously good.
I got to use it tonight and it works like a charm! Below tiles are not grouted.
THAT’S A SWEET PIECE OF BRASS! 😉
I have a ton left to do and at this point I always get nervous that I won’t finish on time. But I know I will and in the end it will be awesome(ly exhausting).
As always, please check out the 20 featured designers by clicking here. And my fellow Guest Participants here. Give them all some love! Everyone is doing a great job so far. There are so many good designs out there, I can’t wait to see them all come to life!
