Welcome guys to week 2 of the Bathroom Primp and Pamper!
If you’re new to reading this, please check out week one here. And if you landed here from A Pinterest Addict’s blog– thanks for visiting. Again a big thank you to Jewel for including me in this roundup of super talented ladies.
My updates:
*Some of these products may be sponsored however, the opinions are 100% my own. Huge thank you to Lamps Plus and Liberty Hardware for the products I chose and they sent along. I truly appreciate it and love the partnership.
So the walls are done (thank you Hubs). The wainscoting also got a fresh coat as well. I was hemming and hawing for the longest time what color to do for the bottom half of the walls since every white was too much of a contrast between the fixtures (toilet and sink that are a light almond color). I finally found a good compromise, Glacier White by Benjamin Moore. And it sure looks pretty! I’m so happy with how it turned out. God, I can’t wait for those floors to be done!
The light fixtures are up. They’ve been up for a while now since I was too excited to wait. Lamps Plus was so amazing to work with on choosing a fixture for above the Venetian mirror. Funny enough I didn’t realize it until I received it, that it is the same line as the light fixture we had in our former home. It came with us in the move so you’ll all see it in our dining room.

I also chose a gorgeous light to hang from the ceiling, replacing the ugly fan/light combo that was there. Can I just tell you, I gasped when I saw it. Combined with the crazy traditional ceiling medallion, it makes my heart all pitter patter (like Ryan Gosling, The Notebook type pitter patter).

This week also saw some changes in the light switches themselves. I’m telling you they were beige and pretty worn down. I opted for matte black switches, outlets and light plates. And thanks to Liberty Hardware for sending over the switch plates. They work so well and are such a nice detail!
As soon as the paint was dry (actually lets face it, it was still a little tacky to the touch) I placed the art above the toilet. It’s a little big for the space, but I do love oversized art. So I’m A-ok with it. If you’ve perused some of the other bloggers, you’ll see a little pattern of art taking a front seat in these bathroom updates. So fun!
What else, what else. Oh yes, accessories… my favorite. I purchased a beautiful tray from an Instagram account I follow that sells vintage wares. It’s perfect with its gold finish and velvet bottom. Details, people. They make all the difference.
I also purchased a piece of art that I’ve been admiring for quite sometime, thanks to Gwen over at The Makerista. It’s by an artist I posted about quite a while ago, Nicole Cohen. I do love her work and am so excited for this piece to come in. With a simple black frame, I think it’ll up the coolness factor of this bath.
So that’s that for this week. I really only have to stencil the floor, which I know will be the death of me. So wish me some luck. Keep up with me on Instagram. And… don’t forget to check out the talented ladies below, particularly My Eclectic Nest’s new and improved fabulous vanity!

I am 100% the type of person to hang art before the wall is dry. LOVE that I’m not the only one 😉
