Good Morning!
Welcome to week 1 of the Primp and Pamper Bathroom Refresh
I was contacted a while back by Jewel from Jeweled Interiors to join a group of bloggers who were revamping their bathrooms.
Thank you Jewel for this opportunity! I am a lucky duck to be working along side of these lovely ladies who are super talented.
Can’t wait to see what they do!
Our powder room needs some love. It isn’t a terrible space but not my favorite in terms of light fixtures and wall color. Since it is a tiny space, I wanted to make a strong visual impact. But since we aren’t doing a full renovation (which would include new toilet and sink, new flooring and new shower, I didn’t want to invest money and time into wallpapering. The next best thing in my mind though is paint! I always wanted a room with a great saturated deep green. I searched and searched and after 20 samples later, I found the perfect moody green.
I also knew I wanted modern and vintage touches (to speak to the age of the home). I searched the inter webs and even went to the library to figure out how Victorians decorated their baths. There was the overwhelming answer of encaustic tiles. Encaustic tiles are ceramic tiles in which the pattern or figure on the surface is not a product of the glaze but of different colors of clay. They are usually of two colors but a tile may be composed of as many as six (thanks Wikipedia). They are pretty popular now but they cost a small fortune. Since I don’t have a small fortune, I decided to stencil the existing tile. I know it will be a lot of work, but it’ll be worth it. I hope.
First the befores.
Mood Board
So many pretty details I don’t know where to start!
*Some of these products may be sponsored however, the opinions are 100% my own. Huge thank you to Lamps Plus and Liberty Hardware for the products I chose and they sent along. I truly appreciate it and love the partnership.
Please be sure to follow along every Tuesday to see my progress and the lovely ladies below! Also follow our #bathroomprimpandpamper on Instagram.
Thanks.

I can’t wait to see how your floors turn out! And I’ve always wanted to use a ceiling medallion…they are just so pretty to look up at!
I can’t wait till the floors are done. I have a feeling it’s gonna be a doozy. And yes medallions add such a beautiful touch.
I’m sensing a trend! We’re all using fab portraits for art. Can’t wait to see how this one goes, there’s so much room for potential!
