It’s reveal day! It’s REVEAL day! What can I say about this project aside from the fact that I am so glad it is done. All of the stress has melted away and I can enjoy this beautiful space with my husband and kids while we snuggle down and watch Paw Patrol or The Sopranos (for the 10th time) when the kiddos are in bed of course.
If you remember, I decided to jump in to the ORC because I was having major FOMO combined with the fact that our bedroom err me, needed a good kick in the pants to get completed. I am so happy that I jumped in last minute because now it’s done. While there are some tweaks I am going to make over the next few months, they are minor and will be documented on Instagram.
Before I get into it I would like to thank Linda from Calling It Home for this wonderful and supportive event.
Thank you to Better Homes and Gardens for the media sponsorship.
Thank you to my Rep. from Schumacher, Sandra for helping get the fabric I needed and so quickly. This company is a rare gem with their customer service and absolutely amazing products.
To Elisa, The Drapery Lady Studio, thank you thank you for working with my crazy deadline when no one else would!
Thank you Tim from Creepwalk Media for the wonderful photos that bring the space to life!
And…I couldn’t have done this without my husband Craig, who despite telling me he wouldn’t help because he hates the hustle and bustle of the ORC – I roped him in and he reluctantly but with a smile on his face helped create a gorgeous space with his handiwork.
Ok I’ll stop… this isn’t the Oscars. (But seriously I know I missed people but I truly appreciate everyone’s help.)
Now that we have the shocking before and afters out of the way let me take you around the room.
Shall we take a look at the details? After all, they really are what make the space come together-wouldn’t you agree?

First let’s talk about this lady! She’s thought provoking and stunning. And with the three little birds- to me representing my three kiddos, it was a perfect choice for this space. Oh hey look! The ribbon trim is still holding on.
The next two are just such wonderful petite abstracts. I loved the colors and the hits of red. They seem to be made to hang in the window.
You didn’t think I could resist doing a little DIY artwork. As you may recall from my previous post, these little lovelies are from a book I own and the frames were hand-painted by myself. Pretty. Cheap. Pretty cheap. 😉
And Marie Antoinette and her children. I’ve had this portrait in two of our homes. It goes from room to room and I love her.
Last but not least is this wonderful portrait of a Gentleman. I found this artist through Instagram just as the ORC was underway and it was fate. He belongs in this little nook.
Tim my photographer captured some beautiful shots of the details of the space. I love his eye!
And that’s it folks. I most likely will do a video tour sometime soon on IG. But if you have any questions, please reach out to me here, on Facebook or Instagram. I hope you enjoyed my reveal and the weeks leading up to it. Please feel free to share and comment. Makes a girl feel good.
