Man that was a long title!
You guys, it’s REVEAL DAY!! We made it to week 6! I can not believe this project got done in all honesty. I pretty much wanted to call it quits Sunday around 9pm. I had a strict deadline to get it completed by Sunday night because the photographer was coming to shoot at 10am Monday. And man did we cut it close. At 1:30 Sunday night (technically Monday morning) Craig and I finished up and I couldn’t have been happier that we didn’t give up. Because guys! O. M. G.
This room makes me incredibly happy. Like really giddy happy. It was just one of those rooms that when we first moved in, was really dinged up and sad looking. The floors and walls had seen better days and although my son didn’t care much, he was over the moon when he saw what it had transformed into. Also he was very excited about his new sheets! It’s the little things you know.
Shall we look at the before…?
And the mood board…
Ok ready. Set and Reveal
It’s me-Mario! (Freddy’s Favorite)
There weren’t too many changes – just the dresser really which I swapped from my other son’s room. The cream color pops and goes well with the rug. Please note: The floors in the first 2 photos are more orange but if you scroll down towards the middle pictures that’s the true color- nice and light and airy natural wood.
This room is just what I had wanted it to be and even a little more! From the paint color perfection to the constellation looking wallpaper on the ceiling nook, I am in love. Every time I walk by, I do a double take.

I want to thank a few people. Craig, my husband, first and foremost ( I feel like these are the Academy Awards) who without him none of this gorgeousness would be possible. He works tirelessly for our family and our home with a smile on his face (and a beer in his hand). I’m so glad we’ve pulled together not only for this challenge but for the struggles we are facing as of late.
My Mother in Law Jeanne (Peanuts, MILLY, Debbie) who takes the kids whenever she can even when she doesn’t want to so that her crazy daughter in law with lofty goals can get stuff done. Her love and support are a beautiful example for my kiddos.
My mom and dad for their support with baby-sitting. Let’s hear it for the grandparents! But seriously thanks Dad for also giving us fixer upper advise. It sure does come in handy and saves us loads of money!
To my Henry, my hardware store companion. With all the schlepping back and forth to get paint samples and supplies, he was there with his enthusiasm for painting “Feddy’s room boo.” (Painting Freddy’s room blue).
Tim and Dan at Creepwalk Media for the beautiful pictures and making the space come alive!
Last but not least Linda at Calling It Home for creating this amazing challenge. I have truly loved seeing everyone’s hard work come to fruition. Thank you to House Beautiful for their sponsorship! It’s such an exciting addition to this already awesome event!
Guys, thanks for following along and cheering me on. Through this challenge on Instagram, I’ve made a few really great connections who without their support and advice I may have not gotten through this!
Please be sure to check out the wonderful transformations below and the Guest Participants who are revealing their spaces today- there is like over 200 of us! Congrats everyone. See you all next round (right Babe?).
