So I’ve been noticing Bison photos used in design. Not surprisingly, I am more that happy about it. I may have mentioned a few times that hubster and I took a trip out west a couple of years back. It was a pretty spontaneous road trip and we both agree that it topped our honeymoon- even being waited on hand and foot. This trip was like nothing I had ever done and I loved every minute of it- well with the exception of Old Faithful- eh alright, I liked that too. But what I loved most of all, was the wildlife I saw first hand in their natural habitat. I particularly fell in love with the Bison. They command respect the minute you lay eyes on them. They are massive and absolutely breathtaking. When we came up on a herd of about 100 of them with their young, I was in tears.
Take a peek.
So Bison quickly became on of my favorite animals and still is. Any time I see a photo or painting of one (or even up close at the Bronx Zoo) I get weepy (in a good way) about our trip.
So back to what I’ve been seeing in the design world. Some of this goodness happening.
Via Casa Sugar
Via The Brick House
Via Young House Love
I do love them so. Here are the Bison images we have in our house.
Done by an artist in Italy. I found her on Etsy. Her shop can be found here.
This hangs in the baby’s room.
And then there is this photo that I painted for the little man and that sits in his room as well.
I can’t wait to go back out West one day- Montana, South Dakota and Wyoming in particular.
Have you taken any exciting road trips Buttercups?
