When I learned a friend of mine was pregnant, I reached out to her to see if I could help her in designing the nursery. I was thrilled when she said yes and so began the task of creating a space for a special little lady. The nursery she envisioned was pretty and funky and a colorful one, in which pink wasn’t to be the main focus. She and I linked up on Pinterest where she had a few inspiration photos such as:
So I quickly got to work. Remember, I was already adept at choosing girly finishes because I was convinced my little boy was a little girl. Ha! Moving on.
Here were the top 2 mood board contenders.
We ultimately decided on a darker crib and a more vibrant dresser/changing table. Since the daddy to be thought the first rug looked like Astro Turf, we decided that something with a pattern would work better.
And here it is… drumroll please…
While the settee didn’t make it in (so sad), I do love the bookcase in its place. The art is really beautiful and since it is kept minimal, it really makes the damask print paper stand out. Each element in this room is special in its own way. I’m really pleased with how the space turned out and I hope it’s a space the little lady and her parents can enjoy as she grows. Thanks D!
Have a great weekend Buttercups. Muah.

Love that picture that says "she leaves a little sparkle whereever she goes"! Where does one find that??
The sign is from Etsy. Love Etsy for a little something special!
