Hey and thanks for coming back to check my progress. Carnival/circus preparation is taking over my time as of late. I’ve been a very busy bee making props and such for the party that’s going down this weekend and so it hasn’t left much room for my room. But not to worry. I really am gonna get it done and with the hubster off on Monday it will help tremendously. We really only have to paint the entire room. But we make an excellent team so I’m not worried.
On a fun note it was like Christmas here this week. My Leigh Viner print came and because of my excitement, I framed that sucker in 2.5 seconds. And it looks unbelievable!
I did manage to finish stripping the paint off of it. And it just needs a coat of primer and paint. I’m assuming this won’t take me long at all since this is not my first time at the rodeo. But last night during the torrential downpour at 3am, I woke up and thought- OH NO. The chest is in the basement. I hope it’s not wet. Should I go out and check? Then full panic. I was crazy to think of going out in the storm. But I was so worried about my chest! So I did what any other normal wife would do and woke up my sleeping husband. I asked him if he basement normally floods to which he
replied grunted No. Ok so I drifted off to sleep again thinking- no sense in worrying about it now, I’ll check in the morning. And much to my surprise, the bottom was a little damp and Craig had raised it onto something because we’re getting more rain today. Oh joy!
I did have to order hardware since my mom couldn’t find the originals. I went with something a little fun and unexpected for this piece. You’ll see what it is Thursday. So stay tuned.
One week left and a giant party to host. Wish me luck Buttercups!
