I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Over here in the US we celebrated Memorial Day. I was still a little out of sorts yesterday from the long 3 day weekend and so I’m writing now about all the fun I had. Memorial Day weekend has always been all sorts of fun for me. This year was no different. After a long week of sourcing and fabric shopping for my client, I was ready to kick back and relax with some friends. Saturday night, Craig and I dropped the baby and the pups off and we headed out to dinner with my bestie and some other friends. Since I take every opportunity to get a little dolled up, I broke out my caftan (my summer staple), a pretty bejeweled necklace and a pair of metallic wedges.
My Bestie and I
Dinner was so much fun and since it was a beautiful night out, the hubbie and I took a stroll on the dock before the entree same out. So lovely.
Sunday we went to a BBQ near the city. It was on a rooftop that had wonderful views of Manhattan (wish I had remembered to take a couple of shots… oh well). But going there is always so nice because you are greeted with this view.
Ah, ain’t she grand?
I made this treat that I got off Pinterest. It was super easy to make and from what I heard, it was yummy.
Night time came and we watched the Rangers beat Montreal. I’m seriously hoping they get to The Cup! It’s been too long.
Monday came and went and we ended the weekend with another BBQ hosted by my Mother in Law. Her chicken is out of this world!
So that was that. My weekend review. I hope you all had a great one as well.
Stay tuned for some fabric sample sneak peeks.
