Finally- a new edition of I Heart Art. It’s been a while, I know. Things sort of blew up this past month (all good things) and I just wasn’t focused! But I’m back and focused and thankful it’s Friday!
Today I’d like you all to meet Mari of Mari Robeson Home. A fellow Interior Designer based out in California, I met Mari through the recent One Room Challenge. We were both Linking Participants who have more than Interior Design in common. We both lovingly coerce our loving husbands into some crazy projects.
Mari is not only an Interior Designer, but a textile and product designer as well. She puts her artwork on trays, pillows, notecards and more. Her art is graphic and fun and colorful and just gorgeous. Some of it’s girly and seriously up my alley!
Here’s a little treat…
If I ever have a little girl… this would go in her room.
And this too… it’s so sweet.
Reminds me of my giant ginger jar.
I mean… come on. These pillows! I’m such a pillow person and geez. I want these bad.
And then there is fabric… holy sweetness!
Can you see what I see within this print? Fabulous!!
Such a talented lady and really so so so nice!
I asked Mari to take two pieces and explain why she drew them.
My Ballet Dancer Collection. I wanted to create dance art that is sophisticated enough for an older child. I’ve been a dancer and dance instructor for more than 20 years so it was a natural thing to paint something I love so much. Ballet dancers spend countless hours in the studio to achieve perfect placement and I wanted to create art that reflected that.
Although I wasn’t a Ballet dancer (Tap was my thang) I do love these prints! They are so beautiful and sophisticated.
And she sent me this too… She explains why she chose this:
By day I’m an Interior Designer so I also enjoy creating art that reflects home life. I paint & draw elevations and interiors all day long. This one is a vignette that reflects a how I would style a coffee table.
What a beautiful vignette. And that tray! Speechless.
I’m so happy to have made a new friend through the world of blogging. Thanks Mari for allowing me to write about the beauty of your work! Check out her One Room Challenge Studio Reveal here. She did a fantastic job! Be sure to check out her shop too.
Have a fantastic weekend my Buttercups and Happy Mother’s Day to all.

That art is beyond gorgeous…
