It’s no secret that I love this chair. I’m not sure where the obsession first started- maybe it was the feeling I got when I sat in it for the first time- feeling like a queen, after all, it is a grand chair. It wraps itself around you like a hug and makes you feel special.
Since they tend to be a little boho, more often than not, they are styled and placed in that setting. But I really love when they are updated maybe with some black paint like so….
When I was making over the living room, I knew for sure I needed this chair. I also knew it would be hard to find a vintage one in good condition that wasn’t way overpriced. I searched e-bay and Craigslist endlessly, only to come up short (or short in the wallet). But then there was THE chair- I found her. But she was about 2 hours away. What was I gonna do!? Go get her of course. I called up my friend Jen and we traveled up there (thanks Jen). It was a gorgeous day and because we chatted the whole way, it felt like we got there in no time at all. The chair was everything I had hoped it would be, so into the car it went. With a stop at Goodwill and lunch at Cracker Barrel, it was a trip well worth going on. Even with tolls and gas, the price of the chair, the total cost was still lower than anything I had seen locally. And it was a great little road trip.

Love this! And I don't blame you for making the drive, woulda' done the same girl 😉
