I’ve been thinking about art a lot. Over the last year, it’s been something I’ve really come to want a lot more of. You know, the good pieces- not the stuff you find at big box stores- art that will last. Since I’ve done a few posts already, I’m thinking about making it a weekly feature- I Heart Art. I’d like to chat about artists, types of art and how to incorporate it into your lives. I firmly believe that art is so important to a well designed space. Whether it’s in the form of paint, photography or sculpture it really does make a space more interesting.
Today I would like to focus on abstract art and how to incorporate it into your home. This type of art I find a bit easier to incorporate simply because it can go in so many different spaces, unlike, say a nude, which most people confine to private spaces such as bedrooms or bathrooms (PS: I’m not opposed to putting nudes in general spaces *wink*).
I love art in the bathroom. So chic. This piece doesn’t take away from the beautiful floor.
The art was done by a great artist named Ashley Hizer. I’ll be doing a complete post on her work next week so if you liked this post, please check back for some really great abstract work. She just started up her blog which can be found here on here amazing website that launched today. Congrats Ashley!
So what do you think Buttercups? Are you in love with abstracts?
