Gonna keep this brief today… I wanna spend some QT with my Cutie since I was not with him all day yesterday.
I want to share with you a little something I once picked up for cheap! I’m talking like cheapy cheap ($5–what the what!?). I frequent this little thrift store when I can and I have gotten to know the woman that runs it. She is a doll and I love going there because she has lots of goodies (and she gives me good deals).
I have to admit though, I didn’t buy this pretty little thing because I loved the art, but because I loved the frame- I have a weakness for faux bamboo- especially gold faux bamboo. Fran, the woman who runs the store, told me that she had gotten this from an estate sale from an elderly woman. The painting itself isn’t super old- it has a date of ’80. Maybe it was painted by the elderly woman or her child- who knows– I love making up stories though!
Once I got it home I just leaned it against the wall in our office and told myself I’ll get to the DIY project I had intended the frame for soon. Two years later I never did get to that project… and I’ve fallen in love with the daintiness of the flowers and the vibrant colors. It now hangs proudly next to the TV and below a drawing I did in high school. I’ll be doing a post on the TV gallery wall in the weeks to come!
